Enjoy the Little Things
Sooo....yesterday and today I was able to stay snuggled up in Scruffy's arms, on his couch, watching Disney movies. Yesterday, We started with Oliver and Company, which was great, went on with Cats and Dogs, funny, and finished off with Brother Bear, which was hilarious! Today, we watched Pirates of the Caribbean, which is surprisingly a Disney movie.
Oliver and Company is really cool when Dodger the dog walks through all the obstacles of the city without any trouble at all and sings. Nice song, by the way. Also, I love Tito the chihuahua, he's so funny and fiesty.
Cats and Dogs is alright. It has it's very funny parts but doesn't really grasp your attention. The best line is, "Don't touch the big button!!!" haha.
I love Brother Bear. It is so funny and still has meaning to it. The moose are hilarious and I found out that on the DVD they have a special commentary and it had me in tears from laughing.
Captain Jack Sparrow's, " but why the rum?!?" is enough said. Great movie.
Turns out Scruffy has never seen Lady and the Tramp nor Neauty and the beast so he HAS to see those. We also wanna watch Finding Nemo, Flubber, Lion King one and two, the Little Mermaid 1 and 2, Lilo and Stitch, Casper, and many more! Wish us luck!
"I went skydiving
I went Rocky Mountain climbing
I went 2.7 seconds on a bull named Fu Man Chu
And I loved deeper
And I spoke sweeter
And I gave forgiveness I'd been denying"
And he said
"Someday I hope you get the chance
To live like you were dying"

Talk about Inspriational!
So a facebook friend of mine posted a video he found from youtube. He posted this one video of a young man named Jefferson Bethke. In this video, Bethke recites a poem he wrote. Here's the video ►►►Why I hate Religion but love Jesus. Iwant everyone to watch this video, but if they can't, here are the lyrics to this video:
"What if I told you Jesus came to abolish religion
What if I told you voting republican really wasn't his mission
What if I told you republican doesn't automatically mean Christian
And just because you call some people blind doesn't automatically give you vision
I mean if religion is so great, why has it started so many wars
Why does it build huge churches, but fails to feed the poor
Tells single moms God doesn't love them if they've ever had a divorce
But in the old testament God actually calls religious people whores
Religion might preach grace, but another thing they practice
Tend to ridicule God's people, they did it to John The Baptist
They can't fix their problems, and so they just mask it
Not realizing religions like spraying perfume on a casket
See the problem with religion, is it never gets to the core
It's just behavior modification, like a long list of chores
Like lets dress up the outside make look nice and neat
But it's funny that's what they use to do to mummies while the corps rots underneath
Now I ain't judging, I'm just saying quit putting on a fake look
Cause there's a problem if people only know you're a Christian by your Facebook
I mean in every other aspect of life, you know that logic's unworthy
It's like saying you play for the Lakers just because you bought a jersey
You see this was me too, but no one seemed to be on to me
Acting like a church kid, while addicted to pornography
See on Sunday I'd go to church, but Saturday getting faded
Acting if I was simply created just to have sex and get wasted
See I spent my whole life building this facade of neatness
But now that I know Jesus, I boast in my weakness
Because if grace is water, then the church should be an ocean
It's not a museum for good people, it's a hospital for the broken
Which means I don't have to hide my failure, I don't have to hide my sin
Because it doesn't depend on me it depends on him
See because when I was God's enemy and certainly not a fan
He looked down and said I want, that, man
Which is why Jesus hated religion, and for it he called them fools
Don't you see so much better than just following some rules
Now let me clarify, I love the church, I love the bible, and yes I believe in sin
But if Jesus came to your church would they actually let him in
See remember he was called a glutton, and a drunkard by religious men
But the son of God never supports self righteousness not now, not then
Now back to the point, one thing is vital to mention
How Jesus and religion are on opposite spectrums
See one's the work of God, but one's a man made invention
See one is the cure, but the other's the infection
See because religion says do, Jesus says done
Religion says slave, Jesus says son
Religion puts you in bondage, while Jesus sets you free
Religion makes you blind, but Jesus makes you see
And that's why religion and Jesus are two different clans
Religion is man searching for God, Christianity is God searching for man
Which is why salvation is freely mine, and forgiveness is my own
Not based on my merits but Jesus's obedience alone
Because he took the crown of thorns, and the blood dripped down his face
He took what we all deserved, I guess that's why you call it grace
And while being murdered he yelled
"Father forgive them they know not what they do."
Because when he was dangling on that cross, he was thinking of you
And he absorbed all of your sin, and buried it in the tomb
Which is why I'm kneeling at the cross, saying come on there's room
So for religion, no I hate it, in fact I literally resent it
Because when Jesus said it is finished, I believe he meant it"
He also made a second video of his testimony, Here: The Essence of Grace (Jefferson Bethke's testimony)

New Year's and P.D.A.
Well, yes, I do know it is a few days after New Years, but I've been busy and a lot has been going on. But just to say my Christmas vacation was nice, but also exhausting. I, unfortunately, had to work on New Years Eve until 10 o'clock, but afterward I rushed over to Scruffy's house and changed out of my ridiculous uniform into normal human clothes and we hurried on over to his Aunt and Uncle's campfire at a campground where we met up with his mother and her boyfriend.
Beforehand, I have to admit I do not like P.D.A. which is public display of affection. A hug here or there is fine, holding hands is cute and even wrapping one's arm around a significant other is okay, but I am disgusted with people groping on each other and making out in front of strangers. To make it worse some people even do it around family. So I must be honest to the one's who do this. No one, and absolutely no one, wants to see you practically have dry sex with your boyfriend/girlfriend/spouse/fiance, whatever. Well, no one except a creeper. Some families can tolerate a peck on the lips here or there but that is where it should draw the line. My step-sister, Rebecca, has this problem where it seems she thinks everyone, including her mom and my dad, wants to see here grope, lay on, and make out with her boyfriend. Ugh, just ugh. But Scruffy had told me he was going to kiss me and that the family wouldn't mind and I'll have to just deal with kissing my boyfriend on New Year's. Hahaha.
So, back to the campfire. Everyone but I stood up when they started to count down to the New Year. When they hit 'one,' Scruffy's mom and her boyfriend kissed and everyone looked at them and said 'awwwwww.' Scruffy looked down at me, and held his hand to me. I took it and he leaned down and kissed me. As shy as I am, I still loved it. =] It was very sweet and I'm in love with the thought of being with Scruffy for all of 2012. So welcome, 2012. You shall be amazing.
"It's been said and done
Every beautiful thought's been already sung
And I guess right now here's another one
So your melody will play on and on, with the best of 'em
You are beautiful, like a dream come alive, incredible
A centerfold miracle, lyrical
You've saved my life again
And I want you to know baby
I, I love you like a love song, baby
I, I love you like a love song, baby
I, I love you like a love song, baby"
Every beautiful thought's been already sung
And I guess right now here's another one
So your melody will play on and on, with the best of 'em
You are beautiful, like a dream come alive, incredible
A centerfold miracle, lyrical
You've saved my life again
And I want you to know baby
I, I love you like a love song, baby
I, I love you like a love song, baby
I, I love you like a love song, baby"
